Brett’s passion for employer branding led him to author “Your Employer Brand attract-engage-retain,” in 2006 which was the first book on the topic by an Australasian author and only the second in the world. The book has since been sold in more than 60 countries.
In 2007 Brett commenced his Employer Branding Global Tour and what started out as a 1 year plan has turned into 10 years travelling around the world delivering workshops/ masterclass / Summits and keynote addresses to 1000's of senior managers in more than 59 cities in 39 countries including, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, India, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UAE, UK, Ukraine, USA and Uzbekistan. Brett has launched and chaired Employer Branding Summits in 11 countries whilst pioneering employer branding research and practice in countries such as Finland, Russia, Hungary, Lithuania, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Ukraine, Philippines, Uzbekistan, Chile and Italy.
Brett has consulted in global and national employer branding projects for companies including Siemens, Aon Hewitt, PwC, Origin, SIBUR, Australian Wine Research Institute, Elsevier and World Vision to assist them develop their employer brand strategy and roadmap through strategic audits and advisory solutions. He has also advised leading employer brand agencies in strategic consulting in Canada, UK and Russia to develop their services in these markets.
Brett’s opinion is highly sought after by media including HR, Marketing and Management publications and he is the world’s most published author in employer branding.

As Research Director at Employer Brand International, Brett has directed 6 global research studies and developed a network of research partners in 25 countries.
Following 5 years of design Brett launched the world's first accredited employer brand leadership certification program in 2011 and founded the Employer Branding College. The Certificate in Employer Brand Leadership course has become the global standard in employer brand leadership training and certification with senior leaders from more than 30 countries having participated in the program over the past few years.
In 2015 Brett founded World Employer Branding Day, the world's largest gathering of the global employer branding industry and the 4th edition in Lisbon in 2019 attracted 785 leaders from 48 countries and was supported by 62 industry partners.
Brett has lectured in Employer Branding in the MBA program at the University of Adelaide and is chair of the Human Resource Management Committee at University of South Australia. Brett has an MBA from the University of South Australia and Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology and lives in Adelaide, Australia.
